THE CHALLENGE: COVID 19
This Community Knows How To Help
The Lake Forest and Lake Bluff Community is built on the spirit of Volunteerism and Philanthropy. We are a community of joiners and doers. And that spirit is very evident in the face of COVID 19.
The "Stay at Home" Order and Social Distancing
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker issued a “stay at home” order for the entire state starting Saturday, March 21 at 5 p.m. The most important thing our community could do to follow the Governor's Order is to practice social distancing and all that involved. With all non-essential businesses needing to shut, the challenges became how to support our medical facilities, businesses, municipal services and each other.
It's All Grassroots
When a need is identified, residents jump in to help, to problem solve, to do, to make things better. This time is no different. This website identifies just some of the efforts in place to help support staff at our medical facilities and municipal services, help local businesses adapt and survive, help families navigate the changes, and to be there to support our community members of all ages.
